Juan Toscano Anderson, the Oakland native who achieved his dream of becoming a Warrior

 Juan Toscano Anderson is one of the most loved player in this Warriors team. His history is motivaing and beautiful. He was born on April 1, 1993 in Oakland just 10 minutes away from the Oracle Arena, Golden State's home until 2019, and he was  a Warriors fan  His father in  African-American and his mother is Mexican-American. In his senior year in high school, he led Castro Valley High School to a record 30-2 and they won their first league and North Coast Section titles. JTA averaged 16 points 7 rebounds and 5 assists and he was named first team all-league.



In college, he joined the Marquette Golden Eagles, and in his first year he played some games, but he didn't do a lot. In the opening game of his sophomore year, he played 21 minutes and he had 9 points and 9 rebounds. Against Green Bay, he blocked two shots (career high). All the year, JTA was great defensively, but he didn't caugh attention. In his Senior year, he had great perfomances and he entered the draft. But he wasn't drafted, and in his next 3 years he played in Mexico and Venezuela, until he signed with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G-League.



On February 6 he signed for three years with the Team he always loved, the Golden State Warriors and on February 10 he made his debut. He averaged 20 minutes, 5 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists. This year, he had his career high (16 points on 100% shooting) and some huge games. We wish him the best luck from here and all our love from here. Te amamos, Juan!
