This one feels good. The Dubs won 2 of the last four against top teams. Now, it's time to go on another streak, gove some games above 0.500% and get the 8th seed. Curry bounced back, and a terrific second half gave him another 30 point game. The defense was terrific, and the offense was amazing.
The first quarter was scary. Will Barton got injured in the first minute and it didn't looked good. Then, Steph left the game with something in the ankle, but he came back. He limped the rest of the quarter, but he looked good at the end. Even though, the Dubs did a great job without Curry, and Mychal Mulder shined in the opening period, with 7 pts in the first 8 minutes. Oubre played pretty good too, with 9 points in the 1st. Wiggins also had 9, and Porter Jr and Jokic led Dever with 6 points each.
In the third, both teams went back and forth, with a pretty high tempo, so it was pretty fun. Curry made 2 threes and we finally saw him play nicely. Kelly Oubre had some great dunks and he dominated the third. The Dubs ended the quarter 19-9, but Steph got a technical almost at the end. It’s got to be frustrating not to get the same calls as Harden, Trae Young or others. It’s pretty understandable that he got angry, and it surprising that it doesn’t happen usually.
In the start of the final period, Toscano Anderson, who came back today after clearing the concussion protocol, crashed with Looney. He came back, but you always get worried with that stuff. Without Curry the 2nd unit started well, leading by even 15, but the Nuggets fought back and the lead went down to 7. But then, Curry cam back, and he took over. 13 points in the last period to get back to 0.500% and another 30 point game.
Stats: Steph Curry bounced back, and with a 32 point and 8 rebound performance, he led the Warriors. Draymond Green had a crazy game, with only 2 points, but also 11 boards and 19 dimes (career high). Oubre had 23 points and 6 rebounds, Wiggins added 19 and 7, Poole scored 15 points and Mulder used his opportunity very good, with 14.
Denver didn’t have enough firepower to hold on all game (13-0 run at the end for Golden State) and they eventually collapsed in the last 4 minutes. Porter Jr (26 points and 6 threes), Jokic (19 points, 6 boards and 6 assists) and Aaron Gordon (17 points) were the leaders of Denver
Big Win. The Dubs needed this, and then on Monday they will take on the Kings with no De’Aaron Fox, a great chance to go above 0.500%
