Warriors 107 - 96 76ers

The Warriors are going through the toughest stretch of the remainder of the season, and last night they had a big game, and they played fantastic. Joel Embiid was defended incredibly well by Kevon Looney, and when he was defended by him, the Philadelphia star shot 4/14 and was outrebounded 15 to 13 by Looney. Steph Curry went crazy again, with 49 points (20 in the 4th), 10 threes, and 2 more bangs from Mike Breen.

The first quarter started horrible. Philadelphia went on a 12-0 run to take a big lead to start. But well, the Warriors have a magician, Steph Curry, and his 11 points and 3 threes were the reason the Warriors survived that period. Joel Embiid (7 points and 5 rebounds) and Seth Curry (7 points) led the Sixers.

The 2nd quarter was so close all the time, and we had no runs by any team, the biggest lead was 6, and the half ended 55 to 55. Damion Lee led the Warriors in the 2nd, with 10 points, shooting 100%, and Steph had 9. Joel Embiid had 10 points (17 in the half) and Seth Curry had 15.

The 3rd quarter was a defensive masterclass from the Dubs. Golden State won that quarter 20-15 to take a 5 point lead going into the 4th. The Warriors shot 25% and the Sixers 22%. The defense was fantastic from both teams, and you could see how much both teams wanted this game.

In the 4th, the 2nd unit struggled, but they stayed in the game, thanks to the defense, and when Steph came back, they were only down 2. Then, Steph took over, and with 20 points (5/5 from 3) in the last 6 miutes, he led the Warriors to their 5th win in the last 6 games. Tyrese Maxey led the Sixers with 8 points in the 4th

Stats: Stephen Curry made history, after having his 11th straight 30 point game, the most in NBA history for a player who is 33 years old or more. He also has made the most threes in a 8 day span, breaking Stephen Curry's record. Today, he had 49 points and 5 assists with 10 threes to lead the Warriors. To all DubNation, enjoy him, because we are watching history. Kevon Looney came up big, especially on defense, he added 15 boards (career high) and 5 pts. Andrew Wiggins made 16, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks. Damion Lee came up big from the bench, scoring 12 points (5/6 from the field)

Philadelphia was without Harris and Simmons, so you can't really blame them for losing today. Embiid almost had a triple double, 28 pts, 13 boards and 8 dimes to lead Philly. But he struggled (38%) shooting, especially against Kevon Looney, and he didn't help in the clutch. Seth Curry had a great 1st half (15 points) but he was scoreless in the 2nd. Mattise Thybulle provided help, with 10 points and 2 rebounds.

Big win for the Warriors, and now they will take on the red hot Wizards, who are on a 5 game winning streak. A win will be big to end the road trip.
